When you bought your hermit crabs at a pet store (like Petsmart or Pet Co.), what did they give your to bring them home? Like for fish, they give you plastic bags. What do hermit crabs come in?

mine came in cardboard boxes like hamsters and mice. one place tried to give me a plastic bag but I refused to take them in it.
When I adopt crabs and the last few I bought I bring a plastic carrying case lined with coconut fiber to make them comfy.

they come in boxs from my local pet store or some time ago they use to but them in plastic bags with a little bit of water but now they use boxs with a little bit of sand.
if you want to bye some hermit crabs i highly recommend it their really easy to look after.

they might give it to you in a small cardboard box. but when i bought mine it came in a plastic container with a handle, it had little pebbles at the bottom to. if your comes with that it can stay in that. but remember to buy some extra shells because they grow out of the shell it somes in. they look pretty freaky without shells. haha

if you have not gotten a hermit crab do not believe it or not by groups like the ASPCA and Peta owning a hermit crab is considered animal cruelty! They are wild creatures and only live for about one fourth of their normal life that they would live in the ocean!

Plastic cups with a clear lid (holes in the lid). With a damp paper towel so they have a bit of water for the ride home.
