I am just about ready to startreading up on hermit crabs but was hoping for some personal opinions from hermit crab owners?
My son has hermit crabs at his preschool and has been asking for them.
Our local pet store is full of employees who roll their eyes at you when you ask them to get you a fish. They are not very helpful if you know what l mean...

What kind of environment do hermit crabs like

A constant humidity level of at LEAST 70% humidity. Try to remember that you want the inside of your crabitat to have a moist, ''tropical'' feel to it;
